NEW RACE ADDED!!

ASCC under The Lucas Oil Regional Series-Arizona has just added a date to our Fall Series. The new Fall Schedule adds a night race to be held on Saturday September 11, 2010. This bonus race date is the result of the huge response from our members after racing in the first ever Summer Shootout "Under the Lights" race held this past June at Speedworld. The September 11th race will be part of Speedworld Park's Spectacular 9/11 Memorial Event. Part of the gate proceeds for this event will be donated to "Operation Home Front". Saturday Event Passes are only $20 for adults. A Saturday Event Pass will get you in to all the events at Speedworld Parks including ASCC short course racing, Motocross, Drag Racing, Jet Cars, Mod Bogs, Sand Drags, a Car Show, and The Miss Speedworld Contest!!

Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Introduces Lucas Oil Off Road Regional Series Organization

Today, the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, with the support of Lucas Oil Products, introduced the groundbreaking off road racing organization; the Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Racing Series. Under the guidance of Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Director, Tony Vanillo, the Regional Series will unite burgeoning short course off road racing series throughout the country under one umbrella.

Flagship series joining the organization are the Arizona Short Course Championship based in Phoenix, Arizona, the Glen Helen Short Course Off Road Racing Series based in San Bernardino, California and the traveling General Tire TROPHYLITE Series.

Spearheading the developmental program, Vanillo shared his vision for the Regional Series. “As the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series continues to grow while developing long term, permanent facilities, we have become increasingly more conscious of the need to nurture the next generation of short course off road racer.” Vanillo continued, “With this in mind, we instituted this program to provide us with a platform to build the sport at a grass roots level while allowing us to share our resources with these promising series as we unite them under one unified organization.”

While each individual regional organization will retain a level of managerial autonomy, they will share a host of benefits including available insurance, a unified rules package, common classes, as well as technical and safety support. Additional Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series marketing and media assistance will also be made available to participating series.

ASCC posts the race schedule for 7-8 May

at Speedworld Off Road Park and ...

Announces a special Mother's Day race will be held immediately following the Arizona Stock Truck Main on Saturday. This race is open to all the moms. Trucks, Buggies, and UTV's will race together with a winner crowned in each of the three classes. Special Mother's Day "Summer Fun Baskets" will be awarded to the winner in each category plus one additional "Summer Fun Basket" will be awarded from a special drawing. Entry fee is $25.00. All proceeds goint towards a local team called "Freshly Squeezed" raising money for the Susan G. Komen WALK FOR THE CURE FOUNDATION

DRP has been asked to provide safety personnel and vehicles for the new Arizona Short Course Championship Series.

ASCC Announces New 2010 Short Course Series

Phoenix, Az.- Arizona Short Course Championship (ASCC) is pleased to announce a new short course off-road racing series starting February 2010. ASCC offers an affordable short course off-road racing series to local off-road racers while providing local racing fans with an action packed, fun filled weekend that is affordable for the entire family. The entire 2010 racing series will be held at the Speedworld Off-Road Park located in Surprise, AZ.

OVERVIEW
The ASCC is an affordable, action packed short course off-road racing series: "Where Motocross meets Saturday night dirt trackin"! A three-race Spring Series and a three-race Fall Series champion will be crowned during our 2010 season.

LOCATION
The 2010 Inaugural series will be held at Speedworld Off Road Park located in Surprise, AZ. This location is quickly becoming one of the premier purpose-built short course off-road racing facilities in the country.

SCHEDULE
Spring Series Dates: Feb 26& 27, Mar 19 & 20, Apr 30 & May1
Fall Series Dates: Oct 8 & 9, Nov 5 & 6, Dec 3 & 4

The current ASCC schedule does not conflict with any of the "LOORRS/TORC" scheduled racing events.
